Wondering what a private lesson will be like?

Lorna's first lesson are always an introduction to harp. You and Lorna will discuss what you like about the harp and what you'd like to get out of your private lessons. You'll go over the parts of the harp, the names of the strings and a general introduction to hand placement. You'll also learn one or two warm ups to practice for the next lesson.

If you are not new to the harp, your first lesson will be an in depth discussion of your goals with private lessons and with the harp. You will also discuss what kind of repetoire you are interested in studying.

After the first lesson, lessons will tend to go in the following order:

-Warm up
-Play through what you worked on during the previous week
-Work on something new
