Have you ever wanted to play the harp? Lorna offers harp lessons to all ages during the week and on Saturday mornings. The following information may answer some of your questions.

Fees

Lesson fees are $35.00 per hour lesson or $20.00 per half-hour lesson. You may pay weekly or monthly.

Lessons are offered in both traditional Irish harp in the aural tradition and classical lever harp with music reading instruction. You may choose one or both styles if you like.

There is no “perfect” age to begin learning music, but the most comfortable time for beginning children's instruction is age seven up to adults of any age.

Time and Location

Lorna teaches Monday, Thursday and Friday during the evening as well as Saturday morning and afternoon. She is located on the southeast area of Tucson.

If you are unavailable to travel because of distance issues, please notify Lorna. Arrangements may be made under special circumstances. In addition, if enough people from one area request lessons, arrangements may be made to hold classes at a teaching space for one day a week.

Weekly lessons are recommended. It is good to maintain a steady learning schedule to maximize your musical progression. This is particularly important for the first six months of instruction if you are new. However, bi-weekly or intermittent lessons are available upon request.

Make sure to discuss your schedule at the end of each lesson.

Cancellation

Please call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule a missed lesson. If you do not notify Lorna and miss your lesson, the fee is still requested. Likewise, if Lorna mistakenly misses your lesson, the next one is free. If three consecutive lessons are missed without notification, the time slot may be given to another student.
